Interplan’s formation was at a time when letter cutting was still a craft skill using only a limited number of typestyles and materials. However, with the advent of CNC, water-jet and laser cutting technology during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s customers stopped asking if we offered a particular letter style or material because they quite rightly assumed that we work in any size, colour, material, thickness and typestyle.
To ensure consistency of product all of our cut out architectural lettering from vinyl to stainless steel is cut using the same software, irrespective of the chosen production path – CNC router, water-jet, laser or vinyl plotter. We can accept cutting data in a variety of digital file formats:
All files should be supplied as PC compatible Adobe Illustrator eps or PDF files.
Files should be supplied as vectorised artwork.
Fonts should be outlined.
Artwork should be supplied with a dimensioned image of the final signage that is required.
Flat cut letters and logos are produced from a wide range of quality materials and thicknesses, with cut or polished edges. The lettering can be finished to any BS or RAL colour or matched to a PMS colour in either a hard wearing stove enamelled finish or architectural powder coating.
The use of brass or acrylic locators can lift the lettering from the surface which not only makes the lettering more prominent and noticeable, but can also introduce interesting lighting and shadow effects.
